Most of our social activities seem to involve eating!after-lecture dinners
There is usually a dinner after every lecture for the speaker.The venue varies; we aim to have a 3-course menu for a fixed price. The details of the venue, the menu and the cost are advertised a few days before the lecture.

The after-lecture dinners are increasing in popularity, but because many of the restaurants have limited capacity, we have had to close some bookings early.If you want to have an early warning about when the menu is available and booking is open, subscribe to our news service. We are always looking for new venues. Do you know any restaurants that might be suitable, and cater for around 20 people? If so, please tell the dinners organiser.

ARTS QUIZ
We have held four quiz evenings - two in 2010, one in 2011 and one in 2012. They were all arts-based with a multi-media presentation.The aim was to have something for everyone and to be fun - they were billed as "light-'arted" (yes - it is a dreadful pun).
The questions included items from films, musicals, television, plays, books, poems, opera, dance (ballet & others), music (all genres, including classical & pop), paintings, drawings, sculpture, architecture.
